Do you remember all of those classic Mother Goose rhymes, stories of princesses, and Grimms’ fairytales that you loved as a child? Imagine stepping into a world where all of these childhood stories come alive. Storybook Land is a family attraction/kiddie theme park where you can experience many of those good ol’ treasured classics. There are kiddie rides, a splash station (seasonal), farm animals, a Christmas Land section, and homes of the characters from your favorite bedtime stories. If you are looking for fun for the whole family, you will find it here in Storybook Land!
All throughout the park, you will find adorable character statues, points of interest, photo ops, and little homes of nursery rhyme and fairytale characters that you can walk through. A lot of these little houses and displays have buttons on the outside of them. When you press the button, the characters in the house move around! Some are accompanied with songs or stories, too.
Don’t forget to stop in the Christmas section! See Santa’s home, his reindeers’ stable, workshop, and even the North Pole itself (made from real ice). Have your kids write letters to Santa and drop them off in his mailbox, here in the park.
Check Storybook Land’s website for Christmas events and Santa’s schedule: https://storybookland.com/fallchristmas.html
Some of the rides here include a carousel, a kiddie coaster, a tilt-a-whirl, a mini Ferris wheel, and a train ride that will take you around the park (and a few more). We visited the park between 1 and 3 pm on a Sunday (after Labor Day). There was no line at the ticket booth to get in the park and only very small lines to get on the rides.
And now….for the best part…..The Alice in Wonderland Walkthrough! For those of you that don’t know….. I LOVE Alice in Wonderland! So even though I’m an adult, this was a huge deal for me. First, you enter the rabbit hole, then run through a tunnel of wonder, and then have to find your way out of the Queen of Heart’s card maze!
This amazing family attraction has been enchanting the hearts of its visitors since 1955. Why not come down and see what it’s all about. Make some memories with your family in Storybook Land!
